TIL Lebron James Owns The Pittsburgh Penguins

Today I Learned (TIL), Lebron James has ownership stakes in several professional teams. Lebron started his sports investment across the pond with English Premier League’s Liverpool F.C., where he had a small stake. In the summer of 2021, James joined Fenway Sports Group, which owns Liverpool, as a part-owner and turned in his Liverpool stake for a larger role with more teams, including the Boston Red Sox. At the end of November 2021, Fenway Sports Group agreed to purchase the controlling interest of NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins in a deal reportedly worth $900 million. See more TIL posts here.
